Our Work

Residential Support Office

To specifically strengthen and stabilize the low-income renters and homeowners of East Colfax, The Fax launched a Residential Support Office in 2020. The purpose of the Residential Support Office is to connect local residents to services and programs that will help them reduce their housing costs, improve their financial well-being, and ultimately prevent residents from involuntary displacement from the East Colfax community they call home.

Equitable Development Office

We work to promote the development of new projects that are community-serving, increase equity, and do not result in involuntary displacement of our existing residents and businesses. We believe that the East Colfax corridor will develop in the future due to opportunity zone designation and the City and County of Denver’s planned Bus Rapid Transit project and we want to ensure the right kind of development comes first.

Business Support Office

The Business Support Office is dedicated to helping East Colfax corridor small businesses thrive. The BSO is staffed with four multilingual staff to serve the diverse small businesses community in the East Colfax area. The Fax BSO provides technical assistance and training so our businesses can improve their expertise and expand their customer base. This work includes providing assistance in applying for grants and loans, promoting small business education and operational improvements, and conducting safety training in partnership with the Denver Police Department. Driven by these dynamic staff members.

East Colfax Cultural District

The East Colfax Cultural District works to claim, celebrate, and preserve the commercial corridor and surrounding community as a diverse and inclusive space that can thrive and grow into the future, even as changes continue to come to Denver.
